The founder and chairman of the company is Victor Roberts who setup the initial venture as a plastering contractor in 1962, but over the years has now expanded the operations providing firm foundations for the future.

Tony Roberts, the son of the founder and chairman, is the managing director of Acorn Building Services Ltd and generally oversees the day to day running of all the departments with his wife, Jane Roberts, who is the company secretary and is mainly involved with the administration side of the company.

In April 1996 due to continued expansion and growth the company relocated into new purpose built prestigious premises on the Leigh Business Park Estate adjacent to the A580 East Lancs Road in Leigh. Where we are now able to expand from our existing premises without neglecting the quality of service.

All work is backed by a team of trained building surveyors. The Acorn Builders Foundation Engineering Division specialises in structural underpinning and piling. We are able to prepare general building reports on aspects of building works and we can act as both main building contractor and subcontractor.
